Default Modifications ADVICE NEEDED !

I will take heads down this weekend and I'm planing to have them CNC ported.

WHAT SIZE PORTS SHOULD I MAKE?
DID ANYBODY PORT THEIR HEADS?

I'm also planing to have cam and lifters while I'm there .

WHICH CAM WOULD YOU ADVICE?
WHICH LIFTERS?

I wouldn't go with intake for now but maybe later I would go with superram.

I would like the car to be powerfull up to 6000 RPM.

Any suggestion is welcome!

If youre going with the Superram later, you should run the Accel 219 cam.

If its possible for you to call Lingenfelter, you can ask them what they recommend as to valvetrain components for the heads and how big a port they need to be.

But i think Scorp called them and asked the same stuff, he might see this before you take your heads to the shop.

The usual porting on our #113 heads is "pocket porting" which includes cleaning up the intake & exhaust passages, blending the bowl area, shaping the valve guides and dressing the combustion chambers.

This should add around 25hp of so and be very streetable.

Unless you plan to get radical it's best to not change the ports volume much; just clean off any flashing and polish them.

I would stay with stock lifters but add rull RRs on 7/16" studs, toss the oil shedders, add Ti retainers & 10deg locks and select a valve spring to compliment the cam of your choice.

I saw on LPE site that they offer bigger valves but for standard valve seats.

Anyone have this combo?

Soneone correct me if I'm wrong but i think a standard valve seat can be ground to except a 2.00 valve on the SBC head. Anything bigger the valve seat must be changed.

What is stock valve size?
LPE offers 2.00"/1.56" valvest for stock seats.

I will most probably go with LPE 74219 cam.
What lifters should i take with it, or should I stay with stock lifters?
