Default Refurbishing Interior Door Panels

Help, I'm trying to save my interior door panel on the passenger side. I'm considering using some sort of ABS adhesive with some sort of band aid like patches to strengthen the door and give me places to screw the panel back on. Any suggestions on what I could use for adhesive and patches or am i going down the wrong road. Can't afford new panels so thats not an option.

I had a small break in my panel and I epoxyed a small piece of thin aluminum to the back side. I picked it up at Home Depot. I used the 2 part epoxy and it is holding up very well. Good luck!

You might want to try a resin and fibreglass cloth path/reinforcement.

My method worked excellent too.
I used fiberglass sheet and BONDO to stiffen the inside ridge where mine had cracked. I just laid down the fiberglass sheet that comes with the BONDO repair kit, then applied BONDO putty with the hardender and it has never yield in 5 years!

Be advised, you may smell the bondo for a week or two after that but it was no big deal.

thanks for the great suggestions. i'm going to do a bit of work with bondo, expoxy and metal. the door really needs alot of structure so i think this should do it . i'll let you know how it comes out. i purchased new hardware from Ecklers so i'm hoping for a good result. wish me luck i'm starting now :lurk:
