The car runs great, it only has 7800 miles on it. Temp wise 205-220.
When it hits 220 the fans come on and bring it down to 205. I know
its normal, but I'd like to get it to run under 200.
If your interested in turning the fans on earlier get the fan switch, because the hypercrap costs way more and doesn't do squat other than turn the fans on earlier. :yesnod:
Thats the reply I was looking for. I didn't no if the extra stuff the chip does
was worth the money. I had a hypercrap on a GN and it sucked compared to other chips on the market. Looks like I'll just get the fanswitch, unless someone else knows of a chip that will improve the performance and control
the fans. It has already gone 13.80's @ 98-99 with just the above mods.
Since I have the aux fan I just installed a low temp aux fan sw and wired the relays so that it turns on both fans.
I don't think you will gain much if anything from the Hyper Tech chip.
That said, if you would like to try that chip I happen to have a HyperTech Stage II chip for an '87 Vette (it worked in my '88) that I'll let go for $50.
