Mine did the same thing at 80. I had no problems, smooth as glass at 55-60, but at 80 bad vibration. I had them re-balance and spin the tire up to a higher speed. The shop told me that all the computer stuff that balances the tire is usually set to balance them at 55-60. After mine were re-balanced (also had them put the tire weights on the inside), I have no vibration at 80, 90, etc...
You might also want to consider what condition your tires are in. are they old, dry rotted, been sitting in one position for long periods of time? if so, you may need to look for new ones.
I check tires there balanced, rotors or starait shocks are new.
anyone have a clue or a suggestion let me know. :flag
I had the same type of vibration. My tires (the originals) had 40k on them! (The car was never driven hard). I bought new rims and tires, had them balanced with that new balancer that simulates the road with a roller bar against the tire while spinning. Wow, talk about smooooooth all the way to _ _ _. Also, watch out for the dreaded "flat spots" after a long sit in the garage.
