Default Install engine + ZF6 together or separately?

I'm installing a new engine into my 89 C4 and was wondering if it's easier to install the engine and the ZF6 together or install the ZF6 from underneath later. I'm not working with a car hoist...this is being done in my garage with jack stands and a floor jack. The ZF6 came out from underneath. THis is one heavy transmission!!!

Any suggestions are much appreciated!!

when I did my '89, I left th tranny in the car, and pulled the engine with the bellhousing attached. I installed it the same way. I say, install the engine with bellhousing attached, then instal the tranny. It is heavy, isn't it.

Install seperately. Save your hood, firewall and etc.
