Here's the deal - Friday i had and oil change/ tire rotate/balance and rear brakes done at a local dealer. Saturday i'm cruising out to the challenge and a real bad vibration at 40 - 60 mph (Didn't go over 60mph) - checked things out and it looks like i lost a weight on passenger front., so i take it back to same dealer today -
Well, they say it is balanced, but i am missing either cause of a bad injector or plug/wire.. Mind you , there was no problem before i took it in. Well we threw some FI cleaner in a full tank and i drove about 50 miles today - the vibration seems to know just be when i hit 2K rpm or higher--
my questions -
1. wouldn't a plug give some warning before missing this bad? i have NGKs about 20K miles on them
2. Would a Fuel injector show some signs too? Bad gas cause buildup that fast? i had a tank of gas from 2/8 - 3/18 I don't think it sat that long.
I'm going to pull the plugs hopefully this weekend and check them and the wires - but is there a simple way to chek the Injectors?
FI flush for 50 miles isn't nearly enough to do any good (if it ever does). You need to run through the full tank (and pretty soon, too). Injector cleaner shouldn't sit around in your tank. The directions usually state, add to full tank then drive it till empty and refill.
If it doesn't miss at 2K in neutral, but only under load. I'd agree with the rest that it's probably ignition.
