fuel filter change on an 89 convert

is there a trick to changing the fuel filter in my 89 convert? one side is accessible from below. how do i get to the other side?

I was able to get to mine without much problem. There was a thread on this the other day which suggested removing the plastic wheel well to gain easy access.

I just drop the x-brace to do it. You may be able to reach it through the other method mentioned, but I would rather take the time ot drop the X and not risk stripping anything thing. Make sure you use flare nut wrench (or line wrench) to remove the fuel filter, if you strip a nut your not going to very happy if you have to replace the fuel lines...
