Re: Not impressed with hotcam.... (Nathan Plemons)
I think they are too lose actaully I'm getting some tick tick tick on both sides.... But when I pull the Valve covers off everything is tight a looks good to go
Roller rockers do make some noise, however since your LT4 had them from the factory they shouldn't be making any more noise than they did stock, assuming you used the stock rockers again.
They may be a hair loose yet, in which case you will actually make more power but it will come with more noise.
I think they sound ok, however Mr. LG thinks they sound lose.
Louis is pretty smart when it comes to the car thing. He does real good work too. He welded my fuel rail fittings for me. ;) Just saw him a couple weeks ago when he was home for Spring Break, dirty as hell and working for the man, but send a shout out for me next time you see him ;). He is a good man.
I don't think my car feels real fast driving it, but with the times I run in the 1/4 it really is :D . I think one of the reasons is the car has such a smooth power band. No big dips or peaks just very smooth.
I'm glad you said it! 118 mph + in the 1/4 is flying!(so is the 11 sec e.t.)
Re: Not impressed with hotcam.... (Nathan Plemons)
.... Get some piston return springs too!
Nathan, can you please tell me where I can buy these, how much HP they are worth, and are they easy to install? Will I need any special tools, such as a pistion spring compression tool? :smash: :smash: :smash: :lolg:

I would look for a used one before anything else.....if you want a new one check out LG Motorsports or Thunder Racing I think they both want around $220 for one. You need to buy some gaskets ofcourse Intake, Timing cover, time cover seals, water pump I think thats it. I haven't been to the dyno yet but people have seen gains of around 25-30rwhp!
HAHA as for the install, on my car it was a PITA everything, it was the definition of murphy's law thoughout the whole project. I really would not want to do it again, however i did learn alot about my car in the process
I don't remember needing any special tools for the job
