Default Boost gauges

Where do you put yours? I'm very cautious on where I'm going to put my gauges because I don't want it to look ugly as hell. I was thinking about between the radio and the shifter (there is a big open area under there) but its on a curved piece of plastic.

I've also seen spots on top of the trim, on the post on the windshield, and in the radio area.

So where do you keep yours at?

I asume you have a 90+ dash?

You could put it under the radio. Callaway did this on thier cars.

I dont have boost, but I have my gauges on the A pillar (Which is next to the windsheild.)

Thanks for that pic, Bill! That's exactly what I was wanting to have done. Now I know for sure I can put it there.

I wouldn't put a boost gauge under the radio. Mounting it would be fine. But when you look at the boost gauge you will more than likely be under heavy throttle(the only time when you make boost). So you don't really want to take your eyes off of the road to look at a way out of the way boost gauge. I'd go with the pillar, it's a very quick glance and you'll want to keep your eyes on the road. Just a saftey tip you might want to think about. :steering:

My buddy has a Supra, His gauge is pretty hard to watch while under boost, because you are hauling butt and should be watching the road. He picked up a memory recall gauge so he can see what his max boost was on a run. Or he asks me to go with him to tell him what it is doing.

I dont find my A pillar gauges all that easy to read as well (fuel pressure and A/F meter). I have to readjust my eyes when I look over, they seem pretty close to my face there. but they are digital and maybe that is why.

If I get the turbos on my car, I want to get a boost gauge that I can read in a HUD set up.

I drag race S/C dragsters up to 8 sec and can still look at my guages. Its a bit hard considering everything is shaking, but I can still do it. At 10 sec, I feel like I have time to read a book. I don't think I'll have much trouble looking at the guage down there if I'm only going 10-12 sec. Hell, I have enough time right now to find a station I like on the radio when WOT.
