Default Question? about frisbee removable

I have a 89 with a l98 in it. the frisbee on the front of the water pump is the thin one about a 1-4 inch or so. when I remove this and take the for bolts or nuts off will the water pump pulley also be loose on the water pump shaft. do I need to take the surpintene belt off or at least releace the tention on it .do these four bolts hold the water pump on also will the pump be loose at this time.or are the other four bolts that were in the older modles on the wing of the water pump still there? :auto: :chevy

I did not release the tension on my belt when I removed mine.

Just remove the four bolts, take off the frisbee (they come off in varrying degrees, depending on your luck) and install the four bolts back into the holes. Some people use washers to fill the space the frisbee used, but I just screwed them straight back in with no problems on my 89. You do not need to touch anything else....just the four bolts and the frisbee. Enjoy your new found accelleration!!
