I'm doing a rebuild on my 89 L98 and I'm considering going with a 383 stroker engine. What kind of fuel milage do you 383 guys get? Thanks!!

 

Don't know, don't care. The power increase was well worth any reduction in fuel economy!

My read out in the dash saids i get about 6-7 mpg around town and about 15 highway, but I'm trying to work out some problems.

 

Somewhat loose torque convertor is behind mine(2800 stall) and it gets around 15-17 city. I can knock down 20+ on the highway with the 3.45's and overdrive.(as long as I am not doing my michael schumacher impression)

It's an LPE 383 motor if you weren't sure.

With my old '86 w/the 383 I got around 17 city and 25 highway. I'm a bit of a leadfoot so you may do a little better ;)

 

Start the day at the track with a half tank of gas in my 396. At the end of the day its close to a 1/4 of tank. 1-2 miles per 5 gallons of gas. :lol:
