I just puller a set out of my car and they rusted on the threads! I'll go with Champion or autolite before I go back. I've got a few racer buddies that have tested them all and they are happiest with Champion or Autolite. For what it's worth. What ever you do put a little anti-seize on them before you install any brand. aluminum is very soft.
your always supposed to use anti-seize on any sparkplug threads in aluminum heads, and rust can happen on any spark plug if its not coated
personally Ive tried several plugs and find the #3 rapidfires to be the best so far and will continue to use them
I've used them - 2 sets. They were great. But then again, also great were several sets of Bosch Platinum Plus' and most recently, Bosch Platinum Plus 4's. ????
Good idea to use anti-sleez cmpd. Also, don't start them with a tool, always use your fingers with a short length of vacuum hose. It's just too easy to cross-thread your delicate aluminum heads using a tool blindly like that.
I have been running Rapid Fires for about a year without any issues or complaints. I used them for years in a throttle body injection system on another 350 engine. I could feel the difference in engine response on the TB system. My two cents worth!
I'm guess the Rapid Fires are as good as most plugs, but I tossed a set and reinstalled my old cut-back (on my site) AC Delcos after my trap speed dropped off by 1mph.
