Default damn! damaged some thread on the crank

hmmm

I whas going to press the damper on the crank today. I guess i dident screw in the tool enough on the crank so the screw got loose braking 2 first threads in the crank. I didt it all again, this time i screw in the tool alot more. And it worked.
Now is the first 2 threads on the crank damage but the rest is OK, is this something to worrie about? The center nut is now torqued in place...

thanks

No, you'll be OK. That, my friend, is a lesson well learned at a very cheap cost. I ruined a crank that very same way 35 years ago on a brand new hot rod engine.......I still remember that awful feeling.......

Edit: ooops, I just thought about it......it was damn near 40 years ago....
Geeze..........
