I hooked up my Actron Scantool to my car yesterday while tuning it, and I noticed my BLM is counting up constantly from 0-255, then resetting to 0 and repeating in an endless loop. My INT is pretty constant around 116.
I have a Performance Resources Chip I've been using for the past 5 years, just upgraded to a lower and upper superram setup, and new multec injectors. My MAF is totally gutted and has the screens removed too.
I have heard that the modified MAF can cause this issue.
Ohh yea I also had this with my previous intake, but thought it was caused by a vacuum leak. Any insight anyone?
Have you tried another scanner? Sometimes the early GM ECM's have caused problems with scanner software. I've had problems with diacom (on my 86)caused by the ECM that took a few calls to them to straighten out. They have a different boot method to hook up to the early TPI's.
Another thought, is it going into closed loop?
What I'm using is a true scanning tool I am using. It is pretty cool as it has a 4line LCD display to show pretty much any and everything the ecm sees,Yes it is going into closed loop..
Could it be related to the aftermarket chip in the car? I've never tested it with the stock chip. I'll be adjusting my IAC and timing again today as I'm tuning the car this week, I'll write down some #'s and do some checking.
Could it be related to the aftermarket chip in the car?
It could, but I doubt it. If the aftermarket chip somehow screwed up the ALDL data ouput stream in the source code, it could put something like the 02 transistion on BLM's.
