Default Going to Dyno...Any tips???

Title pretty much says it. I'm probably going to dyno the LT4 Friday afternoon. What tips /comments do you guys have? I think I'll have some time between runs for AFPR adjustment. Also, they do have WB 02...

Any guesses on HP/Torque????

Sounds like fun.

Take tools to - adjust fuel pressure, adjust timing. Use same gas that you would be running at the track. Be sure air filter is CLEAN!!!!

Otherwise, have fun. I don't know much about your year but, I will still
guess about 315hp to wheels.

Tips/comments? Bring tools in case my car falls apart again :jester

Let's see here, stock LT4=~290
HOT cam = +30
elec WP = +8 (peak)
shorties = +10 (?)
no mufflers = -2
=336rwhp (wild guess 332rwtq)

According to Ed Wright (his assistant actually) shoot for 12.8-13.1 A/F.

You seem to have 1-2 mph on me at the track, I was at 325/340 before swapping the shorties for LT's, just for reference.

I'll take a guess...

I'll say 338 rwhp, assuming you still have factory cats (can't remember if you do.)

I think the muffler elims will get you about 5-8 rwhp. (I want to hear it, bet it sounds mean)

Say, 336 rwtq.

I would be VERY pleased with numbers like that.

Yes, I do still have the cats....and it does sound mean...

I would like to see someone dyno an LT4 first with premium gas and then add some 100 octane and see if there is any difference. With a 10.8:1 compression ratio and only 91 gas out here in CA I wonder if that will make a difference.

Otherwise my guess is 345. I got 313 without the hot cam and water pump. Hopefully those will give you at least 30...
