Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) Question
When I acquired my 1995 Corvette in 1999 it was without the PKE transmitter. The previous owner had lost it. I purchased a new transmitter and successfully programmed it. Recently that transmitter failed (not a battery problem) so I purchased another one, and again successfully programmed it. The owners manual states that only a maximum of three transmiitters can be programmed. What happens when this third one fails and I purchase number four? Will I have a problem?

Wish I knew the answer for you. I am sure someone will be able to help.
By the way, do you know the option code for the passive keyless entry?

RPO for PKE is AUO.
I think it means you can program up to 3 transmitters for one car. There is no limit as such as far as running out of transmitters.

PKE was standard, it was not an option, on all 93-96 C4s :D

Also you can only program 3 at one time.

This is true. One car can hold 3 PKE codes. If you've losted one, then you need to program the new one in 3 times to kick the others out.

Re: Passive Keyless Entry (R94 LT 1)
Is GM programming these for you? What have they been charging you for a programming?
The previous owner of my car left me without PKE.

Re: Passive Keyless Entry (POS's LT4)
No. Just follow the instructions in the owners manual. Heck GM, would probably charge you an hour for each and then not get it right! :jester
