Head Light Problem
Hi I have A 1986 Vette when you turn the head lights off the left one goes down but it( THE MOTOR) keeps running and if I pull out on the switch about 1/8 inch it stops and every thing is fine is there a limit swithch in the headlight motor that can be replaced or what is wrong ?????? thanks Jeff :cheers: I have replaced the switch and relays same thing happens

Up and down power is always applied to the headlight motor and there are contacts in the motor that are cammed open at the end of the door movement by motor torque. You need to take the motor off the car, open it up and visually check why the contacts are not being opened.
