from Summit Racing the ECU alone is $538.99. If you want a wiring harness it will be more. As far as how well they work I have no idea but I would like to know too.

Damm thats pretty cheap, They claim they can support 950HP. And they have 1bar, 2bar and I think 3bar too, not so sure about the 3 bar though. I thought it would be somewhere around 1200 or even more.

I would like to use a high flow 85+ TPI sytle intake system. The reason is that Since I will be using turbos, The Maximum Boost makes sense, since you wont make any real hard power till 2000+ or 2500rpm. You want to have long intake runners to fill the combustion chamber at a higher velocity, so you have more low end TQ and then the turbos take over at higher rpms. :yesnod: Any suggestions?

Oh, yes they can be run 3 bar. I just got an e-mail from Holley regarding there entire Comander EFI setup. I'll paste it.

Use the MPFI kit for up to 14.7 PSI of boost. Sales # 91005202. They are
making changes to the website at this time. The application chart is not
available. Click on tech info. and scroll down to 950 commander tuning
manual. You can download or print the manual for review or use. Thanks

Hope this sheds some light. I'm in the same boat as you. This thing sounds great but want to know more about it.

Thanks for the help, I will download it. Also are you going to go forced induction and change to a TPI intake to? Are you going to use a Supercharger or Turbocharger(s)?

On my Vette I'm just going tpi and nitrous. If I build a blower engine it will be for my next project car. I have a few options. A 78 Vette, 72 Chevelle or a Lambo kit car. Not sure yet.

I'd go with a GTR Kit car, and maybe put an LS1 engine in it.

I also heard someone from Ls1tech.com forum, he has put an LS1 engine in it and removed the Cat and smog systems. ANd now it is only 2700lbs. I might do that in a yr or two maybe, Loosing 200lbs isnt too much of a bad thing :yesnod:

Anyway back to the 950 Holley, since its cheaper compared to the other brands, does it have just as much fuel and spark graphs? OR is it here where it lacks and which is the reason why it is cheap? Oh yeah, the link doesnt work BTW, Guess I'll wait a week or two untill they have thier site up and ready

Hope it works this time. I can send you a copy of the emil they sent me with a working link if this one dosn't work. Holley mass produces everything. They are even selling this ECU as an upgrade for the old pro jection. The reason it is so cheap is marketing and production. I read over the entire manual last night and will say it is better then the DFI gen 7. It has the same memory and can do more. The cool thing is how you tune it. After you tinker with a pre-fabed bin file and get your car started the ECU will show on your laptop screen what part of the bin file it is using at the time. Is also has a lean/rich gauge right on the screen. So you just change that value untill you get it in the middle of the gauge. Then you need to change all the values around it to smooth out the bin. It also has a built in nitrous controller. I found out you can run up to 30 psi of boost with it. The reasen they say 14.7 is because that is as high as a 2 bar map will go. Holley only sells a 2 bar map. The down side is the more bars of map the less accurate the fuel map is due to memory limitations. This is a problem with a lot of ECMs. I think this thing looks realy good and I want to get an entire multipoint kit from them for a supercharger. (with 42-50 lb injectors) If the link won't work this time I'll e-mail it to you.

The Link still doesn't work, I'll try it when I come back home.

I think that 14.7psi is pretty good for me, Later on I will need to run more boost. But for these couple of years 14.7 is plenty.

Also If I were to use a TPI from an 85-91 Corvette, and use a Holley Commander, I would need a new harness to use with it correct? OR could I just get a clip and take out the wired from the TPI harness and plug them into the New clip or harness of the Holley ECU? Thanks for the help :yesnod:
