Procharger intercooler - Efficiency question
OK, so I know the intercooler that comes with the Procharger kits for the Corvette are not capable of supporting real big power. From what I have seen, they will support up to around 550 rwhp. I was thinking however of how to help improve the efficiency of the intercooler by helping the air flow a little. Now, with the way they install on top of the radiator shroud, and you cut a hole in the shroud for air to pass through the vains of the intercooler, and the air flows from top to bottom...would adding a small 8-10" reverse flow fan underneath the shroud help to cool the charge of the air down or help in the efficiency of the unit at all? Or is the deficiency simply in the amount of air flow you can get through the thing internally?
