Just did mine, $4.80 ea for an L98. While you are at it replace the seals, about $20.00. Get help, you need three hands to do the seals.

Stock LT4 springs, $32 for a set of 16 from Jeff Kopp. Didn't say if your 96 was LT1 or LT4.
