To use that method, you would have to put a toggle switch at each light.
If you follow the wires back, they will converge at a 10amp fuse (in holder) in front of the DS wheel well. You could splice a switch in before the fuse holder or simply remove the fuse.
I just pull the fuse. Like someone said, it's in a 2 wire weather pack connector next to the air pump. a lot cheaper than a switch and less hassle than cutting into wiring. :D
I'm glad you asked this i am planning on doing the same thing real soon, hopefully before the snow melts. Scott you definetely have a car i would like to own, a perfect example of a supercharged LT1. How long was that car out of operation, i would love to do something like you did but i have been waiting all winter long to drive it and the last thing i want to do is start taking it apart now.
Can't you just disconnect/unplug the wires like I do in my 85 or are the newer cars wired differently? I know it only takes me about 10 seconds to disconnect/reconnect mine.

ive had them disconnected on both sides for a while but onetime i needed them on at night i had a helll of a time finding the connections ....in the rain :cuss :mad :cuss . I'll do the fuse but i'd like to get a switch in there for ease of operation. :yesnod:
