Default OMG.. Driving impression...

I just took my car out for its first drive in over 3 years..
WOW doesnt begin to explain it.
383, LPE211/219 cam, mild head port, LPE headers (open, with point downs on it so it cant catch on fire :D ) Stock TPI (I have LPE D-Ports and Ported SuperRam that will go on at some point, so please no idiot comments :P)
Anyways.. no powersteering, still figuring out the bracket, wiring, and plumbing on that. No alternator on it right now, so couldnt go out long, and my arms couldnt handle if I did... My steering rack has a 1 turn lock to lock (so 1/2 turn each direction), quite a tuff task turning it at low speeds.
I didnt go above 3000rpm, and got into second, figure about 30-35mph (drove in my neighborhood), since I dont have the speedo wire hooked up right now, hard to say for sure, but thas what my calculations showed me.

All I can say, is an hour later and I am still shaking and my heart rate hasnt gone down at all. The ammount of power it has at such low rpm's is INSANE. My folks have a 2001 LS1 Corvette, a 96 LT4, and a 95 Trans-Am with mods (we think gears, nto sure though, but it takes off nicely).. And my car made those feel foolish taking off, and I wasnt near full throttle of mine...

Anyways, I just had to ramble somewhere, and figured some of you might actually care, compared to the other places I could ramble..

Next is exhuast shop, smog, and registration, and fix few little things (wrap and route a few wires, put hood on, replace few sensors, rebuild clutch master).

Thanks to all that have helped. And 89Vette, I owe it all to you! :D
Matt
