Default ZF Transmission noise

Just got the new clutch in and works great except when turning a corner. I hear a noise like if the drive shaft was rubbing on something but I ruled that out when I go it to do the same thing at idle. The noise is the worst when turning left and accelerating. Any thoughts would be helpful before I take the trany out and search for the problem. 1992, ZF 6 speed, 64,000miles. New RAM 300 series clutch, release bearing and pilot bearing.

You may not have the C beam properly connected. If you are getting any vertical movement of your shifter, it'a a tell tale indicator of that problem. Make sure it's dead on aligned and torqued properly. Don't over torque it or you will blow out the bearing in your ZF.

h rocks,
I'm not sure what you mean by verticle movement in the shifter could you be more specific? It does shift nicely into all gears. But I think that I should take a look at the c-beam to make sure that it is alighned properly.

What Hrocks is getting at, is does the shift **** move up and down throttle on/throttle off? If the shifter is moving up and down vertically, then the C beam bolts are very likely loose. If everything is loose enough, you could have the driveshaft rubbing on the C beam. The fact that it rubs most consistently when turning left makes me think the C beam is the problem, as the C beam is goes around the right side of the driveshaft.
