Im going to run Nitto DR's as my everyday rears. I have sensors in my tires can i leave them in there running 20-25lbs air in the rear on track days?
will this damage or break the sensors? thanks

With driving everyday on drag radials how long do they last? how many miles can you get out of them? I've never used a set of them before.
Thanks
Michael
Re: To those running Drag Radials...... (White On Red 95)
I have somewhere between 2000 and 2500 on my bfg's and still have slightly less than 1/2 tread left....which means they are really starting to bite hard
from what i read the nittos are far better on the street with longer life than the BFG's , but the bfg's are easier to hook with on the track. My nittos will be here tomorrow and ill be ready for the track on saturday.

Re: To those running Drag Radials...... (ScottsLT1)
I have about 14k miles on my Nitto's. The centers are pretty much wore out. They still bite good, but I get really nervous in the rain. When new, they were great in the rain.

ScottsLT1, Can you send me some pics and info of how you have your MSD box mounted? I am running 25lbs of air in my Nittos. Is this correct? I was told if you run to much pressure the middle of the tire will wear out fast.
Thanks,Michael

Too much air pressure will make the centers of the tires wear out faster. However it seems some tires just inherently wear out the centers faster than others. My Nitto's have never had more than 28 psi in them cold. Usually around 15. I've had other brands at the same pressure, size, car, wheels, etc and one wears in the center and the other wears evenly. Go figure. :)
