Default Engine Harness Bulkhead Connector

Does anybody know if I disconnect it on the engine side, if its just a matter of PLUGGING it back easily...OR do I have to tear apart the dashboard in order to reconnect ???

Not sure what year you are working on, but on my '86 it is mearly a pass through for the wiring harness, not a plug.

Engine side is the ECM harness, not the bulkhead connector which is behind the battery. The bulkhead connector is bolted & then unplugs. If you're taking it apart, be sure to smear it with dielelectric grease as it's prone to water leaks. The ECM harness is a direct pass through to the ECM. Drop the passenger side hush panel to access the ECM. Unbolt the cover at the firewall & then pass the connectors into the engine compartment. Be careful not to damage the connectors.

Lookie there - easy access to change that fuel filter without a gas bath.

Never considered taking the engine out to get to it.
