Chime or tone generator problems
Would appreciate a heads up in finding where the "Tone Generator" is
located and any special information on how to remove and replace. What are the common problems that have been found that would cause them not to work all the time and what else they can effect.

There are TWO computers on your Vette.
The ECM controls the engine/fuel functions.
The CCM or Central Command Module controls about everything else.
The tone gen. is part of the CCM.

On my '96, the tone generator is separate from the PCM and CCM. It is located above the PKE module, behind the DIC. You probably have to remove the dash pad to access.
