Default Question about ADS performance modules

I bought one new off of ebay-it was for an 95 Corvette LT-1 Automatic. I get the module last week & it says 95 Corvette LT-1 MANUAL on both the box & module. I contacted the guy & he tells me they are the same module & I can use it on my automatic. Im very hesitant on doing this & thought I would ask somebody else before I go further.

Default Re: Question about ADS performance modules (tboo)

Though I don't know for a fact, I find it hard to believe that the auto and manual chips or modules would be the same. The electronic transmission shift points and line pressure, converter clutch, etc., is controlled by the computer. If it didn't matter which transmission, I don't think it would say "MANUAL". I say get your money back if you can. False advertising, at best.

Besides that, most people on here have a pretty dim view of the off-the-shelf performance chips and such. The fact of the matter is that they don't really do much and what they DO do is not usually beneficial.
