Default Help! Venting on '93 LT1 optispark.

We are fitting a remanufactured optispark to an LT1, and are unsure about the vent plumbing.

1. Does the vent need to be vacumed, and if so, where to? (brake booster, PCV, or other??).

2. If vacum is necessary, why? If it is for water/condensation, it seems odd that the vent is 1/2 way up the side of the body, rather than at the bottom.

Thanks in advance

The vent tube goes to the intake manifold. This will give you an idea here.. http://gab328.tripod.com/Car_mechani.../opti_fix.html Go to page 4.
It works by using vacuum to keep moisture and particle from building up in the opti.
