Give Jeff Kopp a call, he will give you a good deal on the AC programmer.

What year is your Vette?

A/C Programmer is located adobe the driver side foorwell area, and it’s a real pain to get to. When I removed mine I put extensions on the vacuum lines, so next time I have to remove it I can lay it on the floor board in order to work on it.

Iv got a 1990 convertible, and I think the price is about 120 new from gm parts direct.

Best thing to do is get the correct part number from your dealer, and use.

Their prices are way below the dealer.

Extending the vacuum lines is a brilliant idea. I was unable to disconnect the vacuum connector from the programmer when it was under the dash and ended up cutting the vacuum lines anyway. Ijoined them in place.

I put in a used programmer which is working fine. I paid $75 at a local Corvette salvage yard. I have seen them on ebay go for $40.

the AC programmer controls the heat going throught the vents too right? I have heat and AC, its just not going throught the front vents, only the top by the front windshield. Thanks for all your help guys, as always! This forum is a great source of knowledge, especially for us novice mechanics. :yesnod:

Mine did the same thing when I bought it. Turned out to be a vacuum line under the hood that had fallen against the exhaust manifold, and subsequently burned a hole thru it.
Never know, it could be just a vacuum line. Guess mine turned out to be both.

If you don’t have a factory service manual, get one. It’s impossible to work on these cars without one.
