I have a mostly stock '92 and I want to do heads. I would like to keep price under 2K but I'm negotiable. What do you guys recommend I am looking at LPE, Doug Rippie, Exotic Muscle, or any good reputable tuner. Thanks for any input.
Send them out to CNC Cylinder Heads in Florida...here's their phone number, (727)527-8866 They do great work and stand very firmly behind their work in the event anything goes wrong (which is VERY rare)
They'll be able to walk you through everything in terms of what you want out of them, but you may want to think about what cam you may be putting in the car later so they can do a better job of matching the heads to the cam specs. If you're not sure about that, just ask them what they would recommend for your type of driving.
From what I can recall while doing my research for the heads that I bought, CNC heads charges @ $1750 to take your heads and CNC and port them and put better valves in them
TPIS will take your on trade and give you a new ported set with new valves for $1250.
Talk to Chris at Next Generations Motorsports. You will not find a more knowledgable late model corvette guy. His address is lcvette1@aol.com. Good luck. BH

I second this, and recommend you talk to Pete. He da man when it comes to LT1/4 heads and intakes.

:iagree: .. Chris is great.. He did a BEAUTIFUL job on my heads. Just with heads and cam (stock exhaust and intake) I am getting trap speeds of 107.5. With the new tires I just orderd (drag radials) I should be putting down 12.7-12.8 1/4 mile times.. Pretty damn for JUST heads and cam.. (oh, and thats with stock gearing as well..)
