Inexpensive differential jacking tool Make it yourself
Here are the measurements you requested.
The lift is 44.5" wide and was made from 2" square stock just over 4 feet long that is approximately 1/4" thick. It has a 1.5" drop to clear the exhaust system. These dimensions were to fit my Sears jack. YMMV. The drop was made by removing V shaped wedges, heating, bending and then welding the cut surfaces. 1.25" round bar stock 2.5" long was welded in the center to drop into my jack. After the drop was completed, it was shortened to 44.5" to match the desired lift points on my C4.
A 2.25" wide x 2" deep cut was made in each end on a band saw and plates were welded in for added strength. The horizontal plates were drilled to accept the bolts of the adjustable blocks.
The adjustable blocks are made of 3" x 1.5" square stock and are 3.5" tall. Plates were welded in both ends then drilled and tapped for long bolts that secure rubber pads to the C4 contact points. Nuts secure the blocks to the horizontal bar.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the reply and for taking the time to measure & post the results. Huge help. I'll holler if I have any questions, but this should help a bunch. Thanks again.
