Default 95 LT1 Hypertech PP3 and 95LT1 question.

Those of you who have the Hypertech Power Programer;
Are the gains on a car with bolt-on intake and exhaust mods worth the price of the programmer?
Or, is it just as good (on an OBD1 95 LT1) to just bump the timing and get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

What if I plan on someday running a larger MAF, 24#SVO's, larger TB, AFPR, and a Hypertech programmer. Will the mods compliment eachother or will the bolt-ons over-ride the Hypertech program or vice versa?

I could tell you everything in the world to do to any year modern Mustang but the LT1's are new to me and I'm trying to map out my projected mods for my C4.

Thanks for any and all help.

How did you plan on "bumping the timing" without going into the PCM? For the price get either TunerCat or LT1 Edit and do it yourself. That way you can tweek it as you like, not just the way HPP thinks it should be done.

It is probably easier with HPP to firm up the A4 shifts (if you have one) than with the others, but other than that the flexability is limited. I had an older version from 1996 and most of the tuning changes were in the PE vs. RPM table to lean out the fueling a bit. The timing map for the Corvette LT1 is already pretty aggressive.

Hope this helps,

Ray
