As the title says...at what point? The car is a 93 auto with Hooker LT's, no cats, Side Effects exhaust, cut lid with K&N. Also included is 3.75's though I don't beleive they matter.
Who knows?
BTW, I installed the LT's to the Side Effects without cats just today, they sound amazing
Re: At What Point Will One Need Reprogramming? (HOWSER)
We really need some scan data to say where you are now...if blms are hitting max limits-then you must reprogram. Also you really need to check it with a wideband O2 sensor to say where wot fuel/air ratio is at.
If the gear in the tranny is changed for the 3.75 then the speedo etc will read it no problem.

Usually, you have to have one every time you change the cam to something thats more than stock. A stock program can compensate for a cam thats very close to the stock specs, but not too far.
You shouldnt need a program yet, unless youre done with your mods.

Since you're a '93 with MAP, you'll benefit from a retune any time you make a significant change with bolt-ons, etc. MAP cars estimate fuel delivery based on a tabular model of an average factory-spec car.
The advantage of MAF cars, L98s included, is that the MAF / 02 sensor combo can compensate for mods up to the physical limits of the fuel delivery system. When it senses more air is available, it just orders more fuel to try to maintain stoichometric ratio.

I've only heard good things about Fastchips.
His website has an info request form where you tell him exactly what mods you've made, and he does the chip up based on what you tell him. That's still a guesstimate, of course. They're only changing the prom based on experience or manufacturer's represented data. You might have to change the chip a couple of times to dial it in.
Re: At What Point Will One Need Reprogramming? (HOWSER)
The headers and no cats setup will allow the engine to breath a little better in the upper rpm ranges which will lean out the actual fuel air mixture. The aftermarket modified chips usually lean out the mixture in the upper rpm ranges to increase the power a bit which is what your mods will do so you shouldn't really need a chip change.
Save the chip changes until you go to bigger heads and/or cam.
