Just my opinion, but I wouldn't do it, because I don't like Trans Am's, if you're looking for an LT-1 (which is a superb engine by the way) I'd look for a camaro, you can usually pick one up for between $3000-$5000. But thats just my opinion, you can do whatever you want. Anyway, Good Luck, whatever you do.

Having an L-98 and an LT-1, I would have to agree that the LT-1 is a better starting platform in some cases. You have already done alot of work to your car and should be able to outrun most LT-1's that aren't heavily modified. I wouldn't say that you can do more to an Lt-1 than and L-98. The manifold on your L-98 would still be your limiting factor in big horsepower n/a. If you put a blower on that car of yours, you would probably save money in the long run, and it would sorta be like having a new car. That T/A won't be worth much in 5-10 years. The F-body platform is VERY capable though. It all depends on what you want. I think deep down, you know what you are going to do!!!! Good luck.

Trans Am's also weigh about 300 lbs more, so if you are going to drag it, that's another consideration.

I would hold out for an LT1 vette rather than any F-Body.

Going from any C4 to a F-body is a big step down. When I look at your mods I wonder how you could ever get rid of such a nice Vette to purchase an f-body
