Default Bad clutch or what?

I bought a 1987 with a 4+3 on e-bay, got it shipped and first thing out in 4th gear I step it down seems to be slipping and smoke coming from under dash. It smells like clutch. Is there an adjustment for the clutch or did I just get a dishonest seller ? :

I drove the car again and it definetly is a slipping clutch . Is there an ajustment ,if not any idea what the cost of replacing a clutch is/ pressure plate flywheel? Thanks in advance. Seller is a small dealer and said he might help with expense.

No Adjustment on the Clutch it's hydraulic. How many miles? also I'd change the fluid and filter in the OD unit before you drive it too much. (Every 15k)

Around a grand if the dealer does it. OE clutch is couple hundred bucks I don't know about the flywheel.
I just cleaned up my flywheel and roughed it up with a flapper wheel. Worst part of the whole job was the driveline support beam.
Good Luck and welcome to the Forum

I'm curious if you can drop the 4+3 tranny without pulling off the headers...anyone know?

You definately can with the stock ex. manifolds. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to with headers. You just have to drop the front y-pipe.
