I have oil leaks from the front of my LT1. Since labor is expensive, I'm thinking to pre-emptively replace the optispark and water pump (and perhaps change cam) since it's only a little more labor than the gasket/seal replacement requires.
Scanning Ebay for these parts, I see people advertising that these parts will fit "all LT1's, LT4's...) etc. But their part nos. are different than the ones I got from my local Chevy dealer.
Does GM, Chevy, Pontiac, and Delco all have different nos. for the exact same part? I'm afraid to buy a part whose no. is not exactly the one I got from the parts dept. I want to save $$, not waste it. Should I just forget Ebay and bite the bullet at the Chevy dealer? :_dupe: Thanks, Jeff
It is hard to beat Superior Chevrolet's prices. If you are a Forum member, they charge 10% above dealer cost, low shipping charges, no tax, and you will have your parts in a few days.
