Default edelbrock tpi?

edlebrock tpi units arent' very popular i seem to think from no talk of them on the forum. i'd see the benefit of a superram over that. is it just a forgotten product of performance or is the price to demanding for its hp gains?SR costs only a bit more for more hp.is that it? anybody use it? just curious

You hit the nail on the head. The edelbrock base can be used, but using the rest of that setup is a waste of money. Does it look a lot like stock? :yesnod: Does it perform a lot like stock? :yesnod: You could spend your money to port and polish your stock unit to perform and maybe outperform the edelbrock unit, and you'd still look stock.

If you want an Edelbrock setup get one from Ebay. I bought one a while back and paid $410+shipping and it was new in the box. The Edelbrock base is the exact same thing as the TPIS big mouth. They are both made in the Edelbrock factory they just stamp different names on them. The runners are a diferent story. Edelbrock's are the best flowing cast runners on the market but don't come close to a super ram.

A ported stock unit will flow better than a stock Edelbrock. Read my product review.
