Default HP question???? Please help

Ok I need some serious help here, I have posted several questions about what I should do about my bad engine in my 1984 corvette. I think i finally found the solution, I found a guy to rebuild me a engine with 10-1 compression with a little bigger cam, Edlebrock intake and a demon Carb., and getting rid of the Crossfire. Is this a good idea, and how much HP will I have? I started with 205 I hope to gain a big jump BUT keeping my car street drivable and being able to drive it every day. I also get I think a 1 year or 3 year waranty on the engine. I am paying a guy 200 to drop it and take out the old. How much HP will I have and what do u think my 1/4 times will be and is this a great dession? Please give me ur input thanks. I know I already posted this post but I was not getting the responses I wanted to I changed it a little. thanks

It depends on what heads, cam specs and such. Your description is too vague to make any real guesses as to how much HP you'll make. With a decent bottom end, mild heads and cam and that intake and carb you should see a nice jump in perfomance. If you can give us some details we can help you out some more. FWIW, its pretty easy to get 300 flywheel hp out of a smallblock chevy with a carb and decent heads/intake/exhaust.

Your description is too vague.

We need cam specs, head specs, carb size, etc.

well I think I am just going to be using a factory head, unless it comes with the rebuild kit he is putting on which i doubt. I am not sure though but I know for sure I am getting a 10-1 compression rebuild kit (not sure what all is going to be done) and changed over to carb with a eldlbrock intake and demon carb. I basically could have bought a rebuild kit factory for 200 but I purchased the 250 one and he is going to put it on an engine and ad the other stuff (intake and carb) the cam is only going to be a little bigger i dont want to big i dont want a race car. So just give me a guess on the info i have given. Also what all will i need to do to drop this in my car will I need any thing special or can i just drop it and be done with it. People have been telling me that my fuel pressure will be to high and i will need some special comp i dunno thanks for ur help. :chevy
