Because my '90 vette has developed a little surge in first gear I decided to go through the idle tech tip that includes setting the voltage on the TPS. I could onlyget the tps to go down to 0.63 volts, not the required 0.54. Is my TPS shot, or is there a range (by the way, it didn't fix the surge either).
Your TPS is fine, just set the min idle and your ECM will take care of the TPS settings.
The early L98 had an adjustable TPS with slotted bolt holes; your TPS has round bolt holes and is not adjustable.
:bb
:bb Mine is adjustable. always thinking all vettes are the same...But if you have that plug covering your idle screw adjustment dont remove the plug. The problem will be else where.
Thanks, I'll quit worrying about it. The problem I'm having is, mainly in first gear, the acceleration is not linear with throttle position. Idon't notice it in any other gear. Any ideas?
