And further than that - all the way to the air cleaner! I installed an AFPR, and found out my diaphram was bad after gas squirted out over my windshield.
Is that how the gas got in there? What things should I check?
I already wiped out the gas in the plenum, took out the IAC, which I cleaned earlier during the AFPR install. It had a slight gas smell, so I think it may have gotten dowsed. But I wiped it clean, and reinstalled.
I haven't installed the new diaphram yet; I thought I would consult the forum as paranoia is getting the best of me. Did I totally jack something up? :nonod:
Sounds like the gas was sucked through the vacuum line when the regulator was leaking explaining why the gs got inside the plenum. This is another reason i dont run an AFPR.The stocker works great and never has any problems and the risk of fire leaks scare me.I dont know your mods but if you have a near stock engine, you wont need an AFPR or thepotential problems that can come from it.
Be careful, check everything many times over when you fix it and keep a fire extinguisher handy at all times.
