Default Front Bumper License Insert

I think this is the right forum...

My 1990 came from a state that required front license plates. I am in Michigan now, so I don't have to put them on anymore, and I would like to put a new "Corvette" front license insert on my car.

I know where to get the plate, but have no idea how to attach it. Does it just snap in, or does it screw in? If it screws in, how do I get to the back side to tighten the screws? Or does it screw in from the front? I won't do this if it is going to tear up my car (i.e. bumper removal etc...)

I can't seem to get access from in the engine compartment or from below because it is blocked by the cooling module from the back side. Do I have to take off the bumper just to re-install the insert?

I've got to believe that this is pretty easy to do, but I need some help. Am I looking at something wrong? The top tabs slide in, but how do I fasten the bottom?

If anyone has experience with these license inserts, let me know! Thanks!

If I remember correctly the 90 screws in from the bottom. Tabs on the top & a couple of phillip head screws on the bottom, between the bottom of the insert & the bumper. It's kind of tight, but a small phillips shud do it.

Thanks for the reply.

So, if I'm reading you correctly, I should be able to do it from the front of the vehicle without having to go in from the back of the bumper or by taking the bumper off?

Thanks again! I didn't want to get the part only to find that it is much a bigger job than anticipated.

Thanks!
