Default Exhaust Systems

I'm a newbie to the forum. Just bought 1st Corvette...Black 88 4+3.:D

The car is very clean and original, but the PO added a straight pipe exhaust system. I would like to switch to a system with mufflers that provides quiet at cruise with a nice low rumble.

I am considering the MagnaFlow or Flowmaster cat back systems.

Any comments on these brands? Any other systems worth a look?

Thanks,

Gene

Flowmasters are probably the best sounding, although they are a bit loud for most people.

I've never heard a Magnaflow on a car yet, so I can't comment on it.

How far is Horsehead from Trenton,NJ? Mufflex is located there and they can pretty much build you a custom exhaust.

My 86 has Hooker headers, random tech cat and borla cat back. It is relatively quite until you put your foot in it.
