Okay here they are.

Shift points where 5200-5400

looks like....

60's drop
1/8mph went up
1/4 mph stayed the same
ET's dropped

I just finished changing my fuel filter tonight, tomorrow I'm gonna tear into the plugs, rotor(which I tightened down Thursday night) and some obvious things.

Nuke, looks like I really need to get my hands on your scanner

This is how I finished up last season (41 psi no hard top)

.585/1.835/5.417/8.458/80.35mph/11.111/13.361/100.36mph
.809/1.845/5.435/8.477/80.00mph/11.132/13.385/100.08mph
.694/1.818/5.406/8.446/80.17mph/11.097/13.344/100.43mph

After settling into 27 psi tire pressure, this is what I did on Friday

.318/1.965/5.602/8.651/80.77mph/11.300/13.557/99.74mph
.743/1.923/5.547/8.572/82.86mph/11.221/13.459/100.76mph
.621/1.881/5.506/8.543/82.44mph/11.200/13.447/100.36mph
.752/1.922/5.583/8.629/82.28mph/11.291/13.545/99.98mph

First two runs I ran with the hard top on. After I realized I didn't need it I removed it for the last two runs.

first two runs had 41 psi (fuel)
Third run had 43 psi (fuel)
fourth run had 45 psi (fuel)

So what do you guys make of this mess.

Ok Here is what I see :

Your 60foot still seems 'ok'. Looks like you either have more wheelspin, or not launching at the right rpm. Did you try any different launches? Off idle, 1000, 1200, 2000, 2400 rpms laucnhes? (your TC is a 2400rpm one right?

Sounds like u lost some torque down low, but picked up HP. Seems also like between the 1/8 and the 1/4 you are not doing what you should..
With your combo you should be pulling BETTER from 1/8 to 1/4, as the mods should have improved mid to high rpm breathing.

I'd stay at 41psi with your fuel as that seemed to give you the best HP.

Best thing to try also is to maybe do some all-out MPH runs, who cares about et, until you dial in the car perfectly.. Also are you getting knock retard?
Is your idle solid, or lopey? Check your fuel pressure if it leaks down fast. I just replaced my fuel pump which was bad I guess. John G noticed my FP was dropping to almost half right after the ignition was turned off. Replaced the FP with a Walbro 307 and the car is totally different.. Pressure drops from 44 to 36psi in 2 hours, with the ignition off... which is like perfect.. Call me up and we'll get together over here and do some tuning and Gtech runs if you want..

Shift higher.
Wish I could shift higher.. My tranny shifts at 4800 right now every gear, with the TV Cable adjusted for higher shift and still open the TB almost 100%.

I shift at 4800, and drop to 3200rpms..

Hold the tranny in gear until you reach the RPM you want it to shift at instead of putting it in "D". You can hold an auto in gear and have it shift where you want.

The above thread will help fill the gaps for those interested.

-All my launches were between 1,500 and 1,700(with a 2000 stall)
-I don't hear amy knocking. A scanner may tell me otherwise
-Idle is pretty smooth at 600-700
-New stock fuel pump put in last year( I'll check it's "leak down")
-All shifts were done by the tranny

I did notice however that the tranny shifted around 5200 from 1st to 2nd.......
and 5400 from 2nd to 3rd.

Chuck , here is what I see so far:

Your 1/8 MPH is up by 2, and your 60' times are down by .15, it sounds like you were spinning off the line.

If you had no spin, then you did gain some power with the 82 mph 1/8 mile.

For reference:

My 1/8 mile MPH was 82 and 81.5 on 2 runs this year(I only have 4 runs for the entire year) , which gave me 13.12 and 13.17 ET's. My 60's were 1.83 and 1.85 on those 2 runs.

So your 1/8 MPH should translate in the same ET's as me.

Vic

That's two of you that have mentioned I might be spinning at the line. It just didn't feel like I was spinning.

Why did my 1/4 mile mph remain the same while my 1/8 mph went up 2mph

Default Tire Spin

I think Gabe last week did a test with his car, John was behind him and noticed Gabe was spinning all through first gear. Gabe didn't think He was spinning(And He was). It can be quite deceptive sometimes.

Another way to confim if the tires are spinning, paint a white line on the tires and we'll keep an eye on the rotation amounts.
