Air leak at intake manifold?

Air leak at intake manifold?
i think i have an air leak at the manifold base is ther something i can spray to check for the leak? something that when the leak intakes the spray the motor will sputter or something like that? :cheers:

Try some ether or starter fluid. Spray it carefully since it is HIGHLY flammable. Spray around gasket and o-ring seals, if there is a leak and the spray is sucked in, the idle will rise. Keep it away from the exhaust manifolds and you should be fine. :cheers:

There are a few things that you can use. If you use an unlit propane canister (standard torch) you will find the intake leak. I have also used silicone spray.
If you spray the runners and plennum slowly and carefully you will know where the leak is.

I have used WD 40 to find intake leaks. If you have a leak and happen to spray this in the right area (use the little red plastic tube), you will see the RPM suddenly go up and then back down. When this happens, you are on to your problem! Hope this is helpful!
