Are the 87 L98 Heads same as the later 91 Heads.

No, the late '86 and '87 heads are the 128 casting, and the '88-'91 heads are the 113 casting. The 113 casting flows much better on the exhaust side than the 128 does, but intake potential is fairly similar. If you have a choice, go for the 113's.

:iagree: 87s are 128, 88-91 are 113.

Major difference is the D-shaped exhaust port.
