What should Idle be at?

What should Idle be at?
I am now setting my timing back to 6* and would like to know what my car should Idle at the only thing I have done is put a superram base on it. I want to check the restiance on my plug wires and I have a voltmeter but I dont know how to use it.

Turn your voltmeter to measure Ohms, that Omega symbol may also be on there, the resistance is a little different for a brand but they should all be the same.
Mine idles at 600-700 rpm.

650rpm in drive with the car warmed up and my foot on the brake. I had a chip to set my rpm to 750 while in gear, because when I'd put it in reverse, it'd die.
