Brag'n time! Finished!
After all I did, headers, opti (vented), wires, plugs, X-frame, coil, loom fabrication, power streering pump rebuild, belt tensor, idler pulley and belt, and just general cleaning up, I found the most enjoyable upgrade was the Hurst Shifter. What an improvement! :yesnod:
Now, I feel as though I can help guys out with these projects. So, I'll be watching for those in need of help. BTW, I got a lot of help from you guys on this forum and I want to thank you. I hope to see a lot of you guys at the 50th bash. Just look for the guy in the polo green convert with a big azz smile and the Beachboys blaring. Ain't Vetting fun
I also, have a list of good companies to do business with.
Jet-Hot and Hooker- Scott, Dave and Chris- great guys
MSD- Joe, a tech rep, super help
Hurst- very helpful- great product
Thunder Racing- great customer relations
The list goes on, but mostly local guys. Gee, I sound like a guy who won a race and have to mention my sponsors.
NOW IT'S TIME TO GO CRUISING.

I just pulled my tranny tomight and if it was a quick swap I would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately the 4+3 needs some fabrication to mount an aftermarket shifter. :cry

For LD85 - you can buy a short throw shifter for the 4+3 from Eckler's for $20 (replaces the flat plates between the shift rods and the shafts). I had one on my old 4+3, and it actually made a NICE improvement.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Oh well, time to "clay" the finish. The pollen (yellow stuff) left a sticky residue after I washed it yesterday. The clay takes it right off.
SEE YA AT THE 50th BASH
