Blower Motor Noise?
Just developed a strange noise coming from the dash at the passenger side. Its a squeaky metallic sound, comes and goes, after car is warm, no noise at stop, noise increases as speed increases, drives me crazy! Noise occurs with stereo and Heat/AC off. Bad bearing in blower motor? Can I replace it myself? What about AC connections? Any other thoughts?

20 years ago, we use to drill a small hole in the center of the back of the blower motor cover to add a drop of oil to quiet the bearing. We then would cover the hole with a piece of tape. On my 1996, there is a piece of tape already there. I wonder if there is a hole there too.
