Thanks for the reply, ther's a couple good vette shop in my area and they gave me reasonable repair prices. My friend has a C-3 he did a nice stationary headlight conversion with the smoked plexiglass lenses, it almost looks factory.
There have been several threads on this topic recently. Do a search on headlights. Some of the info is very good.
With headlights you have to specify the year since the assemblies changed over time. I see from your profile you have an 88. These have an electonic control which is pretty reliable, so the problem is likely in the motor. Since it starts up when you turn the ****, I would suspect the brushes in the motor. Check them out and use some light emory cloth to clean the armature. Should get you running again.
I have been looking for a rebuild kit for the headlight motors and have not been successful. If your brushes are bad you will have to replace the motor.
