there should be three bolts on the front edge of the underpanel, after that you should be able to manuver it out.

If your talking about the piece with the Light on it, up where your feet sit there are 3 screws holding the side closest to the passenger up to the dash. If you are talking about the panel closest too your knee with the carpet on it, I have'nt been able to figure out how to get it off short of pulling the whole dash.

If we're talking about the hush panel with the carpet on it, on my 92 there is a bolt behind the fuse panel. Pull the 3 trim screws on the fuse panel and there should be a fastner behind it.

If you are talking about the panel with the carpet on it, get ready for lots of work. I just finished re-carpeting this panel before dinner today. You have to remove the upper dash pad, air conditioning tube on the right and the end panel where the fuses are. Four large bolts with a 13 mm nut hold the pad on. You can see them by looking and poking around. Look through the windshield from the outside. There is also a screw with a 7 mm head on the left that is a real womb. I suggest you have a flexable cable type extension about 14 inches long. Have fun.

The hard panel, not the carpet, has 2 screws in it. Then you have to remove the 3 screws on the fuse panel to get to the other screw in the panel. Then the carpet under the fuse panel is attached with velcro, not glue like the rest. You have to wiggle it out from behind some thimajig next to the shift panel. Easier to get back on than off. Tom

OK, everyone, he has a '94 which is not the same as most of you who answered.

I haven't done it yet, but I had a spare panel to look at. You remove the A/C vent and you should be able to access three screws behind it.

I used to have a pic, but I deleted it when I sold the panel.

As Mr. Mojo sys , you have to remove pass/side a/c vent. You remove the small louvered panel in the middle by prying up gently from the bottom. When you get that off there will be 2 torx screws holding the vent.. With the vent out you will see the three nuts hold the panel. There will also be, if my memory, serves a coule of screws beneath the fuse panel holder which you will have to remove as well to access them. I think there is also a heater duct at the bottom of the panel & also a courtesy light that has to be disconnected.
